Issue tickets
Issue a ticket when someone should have one without going through checkout:
- a comp: a free ticket for a guest, volunteer or prize winner,
- a manual sale: cash at the door, a bank transfer, any payment you took yourself,
- a fix: replacing a ticket that went wrong.
- Open the event and go to Tickets.
- Select Issue tickets.
- Fill in:
- Recipient email: one person per batch.
- Ticket type: any type, including sold out, paused and hidden ones.
- How many: up to 20 at a time.
- Amount collected, each: leave blank or
0for a comp. Enter what you took for a manual sale. It’s recorded as paid and counts as revenue. - Reason: optional. The recipient reads it in their email, so write it as a note to them.
- Select Issue tickets.
What happens
Section titled “What happens”- The recipient gets one email for the whole batch.
- If they have no account, the email invites them to create one. The tickets wait for them under that email.
- The tickets are confirmed right away.
Issuing ignores Total Available and Maximum Capacity. If you go over, you’re told by how much, and the type or event shows as sold out.
The ticket’s page records who issued it, when, and the reason.
You can’t issue tickets for a cancelled event.
