Connect Stripe

Paid tickets are paid into your own Stripe account. Free tickets don’t need Stripe at all.

Only owners and admins can connect Stripe.

Before you start

You need a Stripe account. From your Stripe dashboard, copy:

• your test secret key (starts with sk_test_),
• your live secret key (starts with sk_live_).

Connect

1. Go to Settings and find Payment Integration (Stripe).
2. Paste your Test Secret Key and Live Secret Key.
3. Copy the Webhook URL shown on the page. In Stripe, add a webhook endpoint with that URL, listening for checkout.session.completed.
4. Copy the endpoint’s signing secret from Stripe (starts with whsec_) and paste it into Webhook Signing Secret.
5. Turn on Integration Active.
6. Select Save Stripe Settings.

The status reads Connected when everything is in place.

Caution

Without the webhook, people pay but their tickets never arrive. Set up all three: test key, live key and webhook secret.

Test mode and live mode

You don’t switch modes yourself:

• Draft events use your test key. Run a test checkout with Stripe’s test cards before you open sales. Only your team can do this.
• Every other event uses your live key. Real money.

Your keys are safe

Keys are encrypted when you save them, and never shown again. To replace one, paste the new key and save. Leave a field blank to keep the key you already saved.
