Waitlists

Every capped session gets a waitlist automatically. There’s nothing to set up.

  1. A session fills up. Participants see Table full and Join the waitlist.
  2. Someone cancels, or loses their seat. For example, their ticket is cancelled or transferred.
  3. The seat goes to the person who has waited longest, straight away. They’re emailed: “You’ve been enrolled in session”.

If several seats free up at once, several people move up.

A person on the waitlist is skipped, but keeps their place, when:

  • their ticket doesn’t admit them on the session’s day,
  • they’re already enrolled in another session at the same time.

They’re considered again the next time a seat frees up.

Waitlists only move for published, scheduled sessions that haven’t ended yet.

When a participant cancels a seat, the time they free up may let them into a session they were waiting for at that same time. If so, they move up automatically.

You can’t reorder a waitlist or move people up by hand.

Raising a session’s Max Participants doesn’t move anyone up either: the new seats go to whoever signs up next, and the waitlist keeps waiting.
