Enrollment phases
The enrollment phase decides who can sign up for sessions right now. You move it by hand, whenever you like.
The phases
Section titled “The phases”| Phase | Who can sign up |
|---|---|
| Not started | Nobody yet. |
| Hosts first | Only people hosting a session at this event. |
| Limited | Everyone, but only a set number of sessions per day. See Daily pick limit. |
| Open | Everyone, as many sessions as they like. |
| Closed | Nobody. Sign-ups are over. |
Skip any phase you don’t need. A small game day can go straight from Not started to Open.
Change the phase
Section titled “Change the phase”- Open the event and select Edit event.
- Under Enrollment Details, pick the Enrollment Phase.
- Select Update Event.
Participants see the phase on every session page, with a message telling them when they can sign up.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Moving back is safe. Going back to an earlier phase only limits new sign-ups. Nobody loses a seat they already have.
- Participants can always cancel, even when enrollment is Closed.
- Your team follows the same rules. To sign up early, move the phase.
- Hosts first counts anyone hosting a session at the event, including draft sessions.
A typical convention
Section titled “A typical convention”- Not started while you build the schedule.
- Hosts first for a few days, so game masters can plan their own games around their tables.
- Limited at 1 or 2 picks a day, so everyone gets a fair shot at popular tables.
- Open once the rush is over.
- Closed when the event starts, or leave it open for walk-ins.
For an ongoing event, leave it Open all season.
