Good Society: A Jane Austen RPG

Welcome to Habershire, a beautiful county, just a two days' ride from London. It's usually quiet refuge for several local families in their grand estates and small cottages in picturesque towns. But not this summer - for Lady Catherine Willoughby, a rich, yet quite eccentric duchess, returns from her travels to her ancestral estate to host the most important ball of a year, maybe a decade.

Everyone is invited. Everyone is expected to attend.

Such a ball can be many things - a place to show off the newest London fashion, compete for the favour and patronage of the hostess or dance with the suitors the debutante wishes to charm. But it also can be the place to meet the long lost love, who you foolishly broke an engagement to all those years ago. It can be an opportunity to return to the society after a shameful family scandal or a chance to make sure your secret fiancé's feelings haven't faded.

This ball will be one to remember.

Good Society is a storytelling GMless game of drama, romance and scandal set in Regency England, inspired by the novels of Jane Austin. This is a short one-session version of the game using the quickstart rules of the 2nd edition. The partial pre-generated characters will be provided, allowing space for players to flash them out.
